I was hired by a local computer company to answer phones and take orders for SEO services. I had never heard of SEO services but knew that I could handle answering the phones and writing down the orders. I started to do some research on just what this service was and what it did. I found that people with websites hired this company to help them rank better on the internet. They paid to have them use this SEO marketing stuff and then when someone searched for the keywords they wanted to rank for, they had a better chance of being found amongst the hundreds of millions other sites on the web.

After my first month on the job, my boss asked me if I wanted to work a little more and earn a bit more. I of course answered yes and he moved me to the office where there were other employees implementing all the SEO services marketing plans. I had learned enough by answering the phones and paying attention that I caught on very quickly to what we were supposed to do.
