When my husband wanted to start a side business of pressure washing houses, I was ready to give him my support. I helped him get up and running and found out that there was a lot more to pressure washing houses than just some soap and a pressure washer. All of the extra chemicals, hoses, fittings for the hoses, and not to mention all of the paperwork that goes along with owning your own business.

I was the one who stayed at home and answered all the business calls and also handled all of the billing and banking for the business. I was shocked to find out that there were so many other things besides houses that people wanted pressure washed. I took four calls in just one week for concrete cleaning and then we had to buy a concrete type of surface cleaner to offer that.

I am really happy that he got into pressure washing, and concrete cleaning has become something that we do almost every day now. This business continues to grow more and more every year. This year marks the fifth year that we have owned our own pressure washing business. I would not change it for anything else in the world. It allows my husband to be his own boss and for that he is a much happier person.

When I first got my new purchases in the mail, I was not sure if they were the ones I had picked out or not. I had ordered two new Gucci handbags and three pairs of Tod’s shoes about four days earlier. The Gucci handbags looked exactly like they had on the computer screen. The Tod’s shoes were a different story.

The first pair of Tod’s shoes were a little darker red than I was expecting and the second was a little lighter yellow than I thought they were going to be. The third pair of Tod’s shoes was exactly the way I had pictured them and they looked and felt great when I put them on. They even matched the dress that I had purchased them for originally.

I called the customer service number and they informed me that they would happily refund my money for the two pairs of Tod’s shoes that I was not certain about if I decided to return them. I kept them for a few days to see how they looked with the Gucci handbags and then in the end decided that I like them, even though they were a little different than I had expected.

I cannot believe how many different car insurance companies there are now. I remember when I bought my first car and had to only choose between two different agencies in our town. Now, not only is there at least ten different car insurance companies in my town, there are some that have three different offices scattered throughout our city.

I have recently found out that you can get a quote online and then compare it to whatever your current car insurance rates are without having to drive all over town. I have actually done that twice and both times, the car insurance rates online were better than the car insurance companies that are right down the street from me. Our mayor keeps asking everyone to shop locally for their needs but it makes it really hard when you can save so much from these online companies on a lot more than just car insurance.

If the car insurance companies are ever going to be able to compete with the ones online, they are defiantly going to have to lower their insurance rates and do it quickly. I know that at work, four of the five managers that I work with have gone to online car insurance companies.

I heard from my neighbor that you could get an energy tax credit from putting in new vinyl windows. I was not sure how that would work so I called my accountant and she explained everything to me over the phone. I was very excited to hear that since we had just had an estimate done for new vinyl windows but had not made a decision if we were going to do it or not.

When my husband came home from work that day, I explained the energy tax credit to him and we decided to take out a home equity loan to put in our vinyl windows. Our house was built a long time ago and the windows were so old that we covered them with plastic every winter and knew that it would help with our energy costs down the road. We scheduled the installation to be about a month after we had originally had the estimate done. I could not believe how quickly they put in the vinyl windows.

They were so professional and cleaned up all the mess that taking out the old wooden windows had made. We also put new shutters on the house when they finished the new vinyl windows. The neighbor who told me about the energy tax credit came over and commented about how awesome the house looked and I of course thanked her for telling us about the credit that made us make the final decision to have the vinyl windows installed.
